CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
Conditions of participation in XcelRec is a race open to everyone; qualifications are not required. “By participating in XcelRec you agree to the event’s terms and conditions, including the exclusion of liability and the applicable Privacy Policy, which can be read on the official XcelRec website.”
Preconditions for participation
To enter an XcelRec event, participants must be at least 16 years old on race day. Rankings are determined based on the competitors’ biological gender as assigned at birth. However, those who want to join purely for recreational reasons and do not intend to be ranked officially may register according to their gender identity. Every participant must accept the event’s terms and conditions before competing. Registration for XcelRec events is available exclusively through the official XcelRec website.
XcelRec race consists of a 1km run followed by two workout station, repeated 4 times. To complete the full XcelRec race and receive a valid finishing time, racers must start at their designated start time, finish the runs and workouts in the correct order
Run 1, Workout Station 1 & 2,
Run 2, Workout Station 2 & 3,
Run 3, Workout station 4 & 5
Run 4, workout station 7
Totaling 4 km of running and 7 workout stations, while wearing their issued timing BIBS on their chest throughout the event.
XcelRec races begin in waves at scheduled intervals (for example, every 10 minutes). Each racer receives an official start time, which is communicated prior to race day and confirmed during check-in. Racers must keep their official start time clearly visible on their arm. Any racer starting in an earlier or later wave than their assigned start time without approval from race organizers will be disqualified. All racers are responsible for wearing their timing BIBS on their chest at all times. Failure to do so will result in a Did Not Start (DNS) on the leader board.
Station Rules and Regulations – XcelRec
- Complete all workout stations in the sequence specified for the event.
- Enter and exit each workout station only through the designated entry and exit zones.Leaving a workout station through any unauthorized route will result in a time penalty as defined by race officials.
- Complete the full prescribed number of repetitions and/or distances for every movement or segment.
- Perform every exercise in accordance with the published XcelRec movement standards.
- Use only the officially assigned weights and equipment for each station.
- Use only the lane, equipment, or target area allocated by the XcelRec event crew; using any other area may incur a time penalty per violation.
- Only event-supplied chalk may be used, and only at workout stations where it is made available; chalk may not be carried to other stations. Violations may result in a time penalty per occurrence.
Judging Teams
A designated Judging Team is responsible for ensuring that all racers complete every section of the event correctly and safely, following the official XcelRec standards. The judges coordinate their work with the Head Judge assigned to each station. At every station, a Head Judge operates under the direction of the Race Directors, who supervise all sporting and competitive aspects of XcelRec and have authority over judging-related decisions. All rulings made by the Lead Race Director are considered final for the purposes of event results and rankings.
